28. JAMES4 SIMS II (JAMES3, THOMAS2, WILLIAM1) was born August 23, 1767 in Culpeper County, Virginia, and died April 6, 1855 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. He married ANN MASON November 8, 1789 in Culpeper County, Virginia, daughter of WILLIAM MASON and LUCY BENSON.

Ann Mason Sims' father, Elder William Mason, was a Baptist Minister in Culpeper County, Virginia who purchased fe David Hening & wf Mary, all of Culpeper Co., 19 Aug 1791 est. 231 1/2 Acres - half of patent granted Rt. Honorable Lord Fairfax, proprietor of Northern Neck of Va, conveyed to the Rev Adam Menzies of Northumberland for 463 Acres dated 7 jan 1764, & part of a patent gr Charles Steward dated 21 Aug 1734 on waters of Hungry run, a branch of Mountain run & purch by sd david Hening of George Menzies, son & heir of Adam Menzies 12 Nov 1777 (description follows)...with a dividing line bet. this part & Mr. Daniel Brown...Wits: John Jameson, Edwd Stevens, Thomas Wright, Thos Jameson Junr, James Duvall.
