BOWLING GREEN - Margie June Thomas Wheatley, 73, of Springfield, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Ashley Fairview Cemetery in Ashley. Emily Smith will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green.
Mrs. Wheatley was born June 12, 1928, in Marshall to Russell and Aruliean Bear Thomas.
She was married to Hilery Eugene Wheatley, D.V.M. He preceded her in death July 13, 1988.
Survivors include one son, Brent Betz of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Jeff Betz, Jennifer Robinson and Jason Betz, all of Bowling Green; and five great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to name as survivors, one daughter-in-law, Judy Betz; one granddaughter-in-law, Pam Betz; and two stepdaughters, Lawanah Wheatley Gillette and her husband Paul, and children, and Tonya Wheatley Herman and her husband Harry, and children, all of Mexico.
Memorials may be made to Cancer Research or Ashley Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Betz, Jason Betz, Charles Hopke, Leonard Hopke, Bill Redmond and Shawn Rue.
