The evidence is now clear that this marriage is to the correct Nimrod Mason. The researcher, working in the State Archives on Coffee Tree Road, Frankfort, KY, located a divorce action initiated by Nimrod Mason against Agatha Mason, set for the March 1813 session of the Chancery Court. The original documents survive and were viewed. Grounds for the divorce were that Agatha had left her home with Nimrod and returned to the household of her family.
Note the will of Henry "Harry" Lewis written 14 December 1830 and probated May 1831, page 41 of Will book 2, 1824-1854. This will left only one dollar to his daughter "Sally" as well as to his son Zachariah, who we note, married Jane Mason, daughter of Nimrod.
