BOWLING GREEN - Edward L. Mason, 85, of Bowling Green, died Monday Oct. 15, 2001, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green. The Rev. Donald Amelung will officiate. Burial will be at the Bowling Green Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green.
Mr. Mason was born April 12, 1916, in Aurora to Carl E. and Edna Burges Mason.
He was married to Georgia (Jewell) Springer. She survives.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Carlton Mason.
Mr. Mason was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Pallbearers will be Carl Ulrich, Jim Ingram, James Ingram, Merlin Singleton, Ronnie Riley, Bill Raufer, Mark Raufer, John Weber, Eric Weber and Jim Hubert.
