  Grace Mason Shelnut, 91, formerly of Benton, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at her home in Knob Noster, Mo. She was born Dec. 12, 1912, in Bauxite to John H. Mason and Mollie Thompson Mason. Shelnut was a 1931 graduate of Benton High School. She received her LPN degree in 1961 in Little Rock and worked for St. Vuncent's Infirmary in Little Rock until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents, ; four brothers, Chester G. Mason, Esker "Ted" Mason, Lloyd E. "Dick" Mason and L.H. "Pete" Mason and one sister, Mabel Dodgen. Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Cass of Knob Noster, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home, with pastor Cornelia DeLee officiating. Burial will be in Old Rosemont Cemetery.
