Grace (Mason) Zinn Couch, youngest daughter of Sarah Ellen reports her mother's birthday as September 8, 1850. There is a strong probability of error as the census taken July 26, 1860 lists her as 12 years old. To be 12 on this date, she would have had to have been born before July 26, 1848 and after July 27, 1847. Researcher does not now have the date of the 1870 enumeration which could sharpen this number. Consistent with the 1860 census, however, she is listed as 22 on the 1870 census. Her birthday could have been September 8, 1847 if Grace Mason is correct about the month and year.
Researchers note: D.F. Cobb may be the minister who married her and not Timothy Cobb.
