Name James Milton Mason
James Mason is probably the Farmer Mason Mentioned in Mark twain's short
story, "The History of a Campaign That Failed". Brother-in-law of J. W. Ralls
possibly referred to as Col. Ralls in same story.  Donated land for city park
in Center, Ralls, MO; verified by monument, newspaper account and obituary.
According to old deeds, his attorney was, at one time, William Henry Hatch
of Hannibal, Marion, MO.  ALS-page 5. Built the second house in Center in
1871. Platted town of Center. Center Intelligencer 4/11/1902.
